Selecting The Best Swimsuit For Your Body Type

Let’s face it, we ladies our not all fitness models with a perfect shape. Most of us have tricky bodies and need a little help deciding what swimwear is best for our specific body types. I’ve tried to make this short and easy, if you have more questions refer to the contact form at Legacylooks.com and leave any and all questions and comment.

  • Sunburns Easily – If you are constantly dealing with dreaded and painful sunburns, most importantly you should ensure you where SPF 50 sunblock. When it comes to choosing the best swimsuit, long sleeves is your best bet which provides a little extra protection.
  • Cellulite – What can I say about cellulite, well it likes all body types. So if you have a little cellulite that you would like to hide your defiantly not alone. You can still keep it beach sexy with tankinis and swim dresses with longer hemlines.
  • Curvy hips and skinny legs – If you have amazing curvy hips but there a little off set by skinny legs, don’t run for the hills yet. Simply do a little off the shoulder swimwear number, this will give the illusion of an elongated clavicle.
  • Tummy pouch – So many of us can relate to having a little more than wanted around the mid-section. No need to worry a peplum two piece or one piece that has ruching will hide your problem area. You could even go for a plunging neckline that will take the focus off the mid-section and bring the attention upward.
  • Nothing but Thighs – For my ladies with sexy thighs, all I need to say is BOYSHORT!!!!
  • Short Legs – If you have shorter legs and wish to give the illusion of an elongated leg, go with a higher cut swimsuit bottom. This will give that sexy long leg look that will turn heads on the beach.
  • Back Fat – Jut because there is a little extra meat on the back doesn’t mean you have to shy away from the swimwear section. You can easily smooth out the flab in the back area by going for swimsuits with higher back material and thicker straps.
  • Love Handles – All you need to for those love handles that our men love, are high-waisted bottoms. Ensure you pick swim bottoms that completely cover the belly button to avoid a muffin top.
  • Flat Butt – For my ladies with a tiny winy butt, no problem. To give the illusion of a plump butt you wont to go for swim bottoms that show a little chick, never completely cover it. Also choose bottoms with bright or loud colors and prints.
  • Busty – A larger chest is no longer something to cover with an oversized T-shirt. You can let it all go and keep is sassy with actual cupped swim tops that fit your size. Tops with underwire are a good pick which provides extra support.
  • Small Chest – If you are lacking in the chest are, simply select a swim top that is padded, ruffled, or embellished.

Fashion On A Budget

Winter is approaching in full swing and we are all wanting to add a few new pieces to our wardrobe. Most of use are wanting new outfits, but not wanting to break the bank. Here are a few ideas to save big bucks but look great while doing it.

1) Purchase everyday items that can easily be accessorized and wor with other outfits to make a different look. For example an oversized scarf, denium jeans and jacket, a blazer, and boots.

2) Look for sale that offer discount for a precentage off not just a dollar value off. 10%, 15%, 25% and more is a great deal. I advise buyers of search for the percentage discount because the more the entire purchase the more you save on your discount. If you look for a sale that offers $5 dollars off and you spend $100 dollar. Your total cost would be $95 dollar. Now you find a sale that offers 20% off and you spend $100 dollars your total overall cost would be $80 dollars. So to get a better deal ALWAYS look for the precetage discount.

3) Shop on discounted days such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday. You are more likely to find those BIG precentage discount deals. Alway look for the discounted rack or markdowns. Sign up for marketing with the store you plan to visit, that usaully comes with a discount code that can be used with any purchase along with markdowns.

4) Shop out of season - Purchase past season items which would be marked down. You can then apply any coupon code that the company is offering for an extra discount, which creates huge savings.

5) Lastely, avoid trends. If you’re always buying the latest trends, which is not worn for long, then your not saving money. By avoiding the world lastest trends that come and go everyday will help with huge savings. If you stick with your own trendy items that you like and that fit with your everyday style, will get you more wear time.

Six Old Fashion Facts

  1. I bet you didn’t know when Disneyland opened in 1955, it had a lingerie store on Main Street, called Hollywood-Maxwell Intimate Apparel. It had an animatronic figure called the Wizard of Bras. I guess you could take the kids to play and do a little shopping so the parents could play later.
  2. Did you know that up until 1910, it was common for little boys to wear dresses until the age of 5 or 6 years old.
  3. The inventor of the modern bikini, Louis Réard, named his creation after the Bikini Atoll. This is where the United States did a lot of nuclear testing. He hoped it would make a bang just like the atomic bomb. Réard stated if the fabric couldn’t be “pulled through a wedding ring, it wasn’t a real bikini.”
  4. The bikini was banned in Belgium, Italy, Spain, and Australia, and it was declared a sin by the Vatican.
  5. Annette Kellerman was arrested in Boston in 1907 for wearing a form fitting one piece on the beach.
  6. Barbie’s first outfit was a black and white striped one piece swimsuit.
